15 07 2012

Here are the winners of the 2012 Callaway Junior World Golf Championships.  Many Asians won the different age groups. Two Filipinos bagged titles while a Fil-American won the oldest age group for boys. Jed Dy and Francesca Olivares-Ilas joined the illustrious list of Filipinos who won the Junior Gold World Championships. It was also a testament of the great form of the two Filipino champions at they also won in the prestigious 5th Annual San Diego Junior Masters. Fil-Am Rico Hoey playing out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA rallied to win the boy’s 15-17 crown beating last year’s winner Beau Hossler by a stroke.  It was a great result for Filipino jungolfers after getting shut out last year.
