The Bron-Wade-Bosh era in Miami starts with a loss to the defending Eastern Conference Champs, Boston Celtics.  The old Big Three showed the new Big Three that they are the best in the east until proven otherwise.  Lebron James scored 31 points in the opened but the new look Miami Heat lost 80-88.

The Celtics led by as much as 19 points early in the game before the Heat made it close.  The trio of Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh accounted for 15 of their teams 17 turnovers.  The Heat just shot 36.5% in the field.  Boston was led by Ray Allen‘s 20  and Paul Pierce‘s 19 points. Kevin Garnett had a double-double (10 pts 10 rebs)

Caloycomment:  It’s a rude a awakening to some fans that were fantasizing an 82-0 season for the Heat.  This is not an NBA Live game.  These Heat can lose and they can even lose to lesser teams.  It’s a good thing that they lost the opener so that they will not  be so pressured to be perfect.  I expect them to have a deep run in the playoffs and they might even win the NBA title next year but it is too early to speculate.  Injuries might come, trades, or they might just choke like the Dallas Cowboys this season.  Let’s just enjoy the season, there are many other teams to look at and other up and coming guys to root for.  I am sure though that Cleveland is quiet happy tonight. 😉
