Honolulu, Hawaii – Filipino-American Brian “Hawaiian Punch” Viloria captured his third world crown after winning via unanimous decision against WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar “Pingo” Miranda of Mexico. The 30-year old former Olympian started so strong that he managed to knockdown the Mexican champ early in the first round. Egged by the shouts of the hometown crowd, Viloria landed several body blows throughout the match to keep the hard-punching Miranda at bay. The fight was action-packed all through out but in the end the judges saw that Viloria is the superior fighter of the night.Here is how they scored it: Judge Robert Hoyle scored it 117-110 , Ruben Garcia of Texas114-113 for Viloria , and Tamotsu Tomihara 115-113 all in favor of Brian Viloria.
