The NU Bulldogs limited the UP Fighting Maroons to 13 points in the first half, the lowest scoring output by a team since UAAP started computerized statistical archiving. The game ended 65-43 in favor of NU. Ray Parks scored 22 points, grabbed 7 boards, and dished out 4 assists while Cameroonian Emmanuel Mbe had a double-double (17 pts 13 caroms).
In the main game, FEU survived a furious last minute rally by the Adamson Falcons to win 62-61. Season 73 MVP RR Garcia once again delivered the marginal points to secure 3rd place for the Tamaraws. Aldrech Ramos had 18 points and 10 rebounds before fouling out with 1:02 left in the game. Garcia and Terence Romeo both ended with 14 points. Adamson was led by 17 points – 10 rebounds performance of Alex Nuyles.
