UAAP 74: Stat Leaders as September 5, 2011

5 09 2011

One more week and the UAAP Senior’s Basketball elimination round will be over. A lot of rookies are showing that indeed they belong to the league. With 1 week to go, here are the top players of the University Athletic Association of the Philippine’s Season 74 based on major basketball statistics:

Bobby Ray ParksNU 19.4 PPG

RR Garcia, FEU 16.1

Alex Nuyles, AdU 14.8

With one game left, Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. is set to finish his freshman season at the National University as the UAAP top scorer. A lot of things were expected of this young Fil-American who let go of an opportunity to play in US NCAA Division I just to play in his mother’s homeland. He has shown his immense scoring capability and with better support next year, he might just be the saviour who can end the long title drought of NU. Season 73 MVP RR Garcia is running second in the scoring race while NU’s Nuyles ranks third.

Karim Abdul, UST 11.4

Greg Slaughter, ADMU 9.8

Emmanuel Mbe, Nu 9.4

Karim Abdul continues to increase his average as he grabbed 14 rebounds in UST’s lone game last week.  He increased his per game lead to 1.6 a game. Greg Slaughter leapfrogged over Mbe and Aldrech Ramos, as he averaged 14.5 rpg in 2 wins last week. Mbe retains the No.3 spot as FEU’s Ramos sputtered with only 3 rebounds against the UE Red Warriors.

Emman Monfort, ADMU 4.3

Mike Silungan, UP 3.7

LA Revilla, DLSU 3.7

The top 3 passers remains the same going to the last week of the competitions.

LA Revilla, DLSU 1.8

Emman Monfort, ADMU 1.7

Kiefer Ravena, ADMU 1.6

Lester Alvarez, AdU 1.6

Revilla still leads in thefts but is facing a tough challenge from 3 players. The steals race is definitely going down the wire.

Lionel Manyara, ADU 2.3

Greg Slaughter, ADMU 2.1

N. Torres, DLSU 1.8

No changes were made in the block rankings as Manyara is looking to edge Slaughter for the blocks title.

League Standings (This week):

Ateneo 13-0 (2-0)

Adamson 9-4 (1-1)

FEU 8-4 (1-0)

UST 7-5 (1-0)

DLSU 5-7 (1-0)

NU 4-8 (0-1)

UE 2-11 (0-2)
