UAAP 74: Stat Leaders at the end of the elimination round

12 09 2011

After FEU beat DLSU, and NU trounced UST, the 2011 Final 4 rankings are set. All teams now have played their double round robin games. The next games will be the postseason.

Here are the leaders of the major statistical categories of the Season 74 UAAP Senior’s Basketball:

Scoring:

Bobby Ray ParksNU 20.0 PPG

RR Garcia, FEU 16.4

Alex Nuyles, AdU 15.2

Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. runs away with the Season 74 scoring crown. The rookie from the NU Bulldogs is the only player in the league to average over 20 points a game. He leads the next best scorer by 3.6 points a game. That is more than what Joshua Webb averaged a game this season. Season 73 MVP is the second placer while Adamson’s Alex Nuyles is third as he better his average last year by 3.4 points.

Karim Abdul, UST 11.5

Greg Slaughter, ADMU 9.4

Emmanuel Mbe, NU 9.4

Aldrech Ramos, FEU 9.4

UST’s Karim Abdul is the rebound champ even if he missed the last game of the season due to suspension. He averaged more 2 rebounds a game against his 3 formidable pursuers. Slaughter, Ramos, and Mbe are bunched at second with a 9.4 rpg. Abdul’s rebounding will be a key in USTs Final 4 date against Slaughter’s ADMU Blue Eagles.

Passing:

Emman Monfort, ADMU 4.2

Mike Silungan, UP 3.7

LA Revilla, DLSU 3.6

Emman Monfort emerged as the top passer this season. He has .5 more assists a game over second-running Mike Silungan of UP. DLSU’s Revilla rounds up the top 3. Monfort will need to step up and orchestrate the Ateneo offense in the Final 4 as it was stifled by Adamson recently.

Steals:

LA Revilla, DLSU 1.6

Emman Monfort, ADMU 1.6

Lester Alvarez, ADU 1.6

It is a triple tie for the steal department. LA Revilla, Monfort, and Adamson’s Alvarez share the title.

Blocks:

Lionel Manyara, ADU 2.2

Greg Slaughter, ADMU 1.9

Norbert Torres, DLSU 1.6

Ifeanyi Mbah, UP 1.6

Emmanuel Mbeh, Nu 1.6

Manyara is top the blocker of the season defeating the other UAAP giants.
