Caloy’s 2011 NFL Power Rankings (Week 6)

  1. Green Bay (6-0) – The only undefeated team left is not slowing down. They will face a 1-win Vikings this week after winning against the winless Rams. Last Week: 1
  2. San Francisco (5-1) – They gave Detroit its first loss this season with an excellent defensive line and amazing effort on the ground by Frank Gore. Last Week: 3
  3. New England (5-1) – The Pats took sole possession of first place in the AFC East after beating the luckless Dallas Cowboys. Last Week: 4
  4. Detroit (5-1) – Lost for the first time, no wonder Jim Swartz is emotional. Calvin Johnson was held without a TD for the first time this season. Last Week: 2
  5. Baltimore (4-1) – The Ravens are still perfect at home (3-0) after crushing the Texans. the defense is the most feared in the league and Ray Rice just had a 100 yard rushing week. Last Week: 8
  6. San Diego (4-1) –Had a bye week. They are still 1 of the six teams with 1 loss or less. They will visit the Jets and try to keep their lead against the surging Raiders. Last Week: 7
  7. Cincinnati (4-2) – The Bengals has won its third straight game after an early season 2 game slump. They beat the winless Colts thanks to a Carlos Dunlap fumble recovery for a TD. Last Week:10
  8. Pittsburgh (4-2) – The Steelers is the 3rd team from the AFC North  in top 10 besides the Bengals (7) and the Ravens (5). Opposing teams are only throwing 157.7 yards a game. . Last Week: 11
  9. NY Giants (4-2) – Eli Manning and the Giants won against the Bills.Ahmad Bradsaw had 3 TDs along with his 104 rushing yards. Lawrence Tynes hit a FG with 1:32 left for the go-ahead FG. Last Week: 13
  10.  Oakland (4-2) – The Raiders continue their winning ways after Al Davis passed away. Darren McFadden has a  tremendous season so far. A question mark for this team will be their QB situation. Last Week: 14
  11.  Tampa Bay (4-2) – The Buccaneers survived Drew Brees and the Saints. They intercepted 3 passes in their victory.   Josh Freeman had 303 yards along with 2 TDs. The Bucs are suddenly on top of the NFC South. Last Week: 16
  12. New Orleans (4-2) – The Saints lost for the first time in 5 games. They still have the NFL’s second best passing offense despite suffering their second road loss of the season against Tampa Bay. Last Week:6
  13. Buffalo (4-2) – The Bills lost two games in the last 3 weeks. They will have a bye this week. Last Week:5
  14. Tennessee (3-2) – The Titans came out of their bye week with the lead in the AFC South after the Texans lost to the Ravens. The top 2 AFC South teams will battle this week in a match-up to watch. A win will have an impact later in the season. Last Week: 12
  15. Washington (3-2) – The Redskins lost to the Eagles after their bye week. They fall behind the Giants in the muddled NFC East standings. Rex Grossman had an atrocious performance against the Eagles. He threw 4 INTs before being benched. Last Week: 9
  16. NY Jets (3-3) – The Jets snapped a 3-game losing slump by beating AFC East cellar dwellers Miami Dolphins. Their ineffective offense will be tested this week against the visiting Chargers. Last Week: 19
  17. Atlanta (3-3) – Their trend of losing and winning every other game has continued to even their record. Michael Turner will try to bring his explosive running game to Detroit this week. Last Week: 20
  18.  Chicago (3-3) – Jay Cutler of the Bears is continuing to improve under center after following up his gutsy performance at Detroit with 115.9 QB rating against the Vikes. He will need to have a similar against for the Bears to keep up with the Lions and Packers. Last Week: 23
  19.  Houston (3-3) – The Texans lost their second game in a row and 3rd in 4 games. They have not scored over 21 points in the last 3 week. They will face rivals Tennessee  in a crucial Week 7 tiff. Last Week: 15
  20. Seattle (2-3) – The Seahawks is coming of a bye week after winning against the Giants. They are now 2.5 games behind the 49ers in the NFC West standings. They will be visiting Colt McCoy and the Browns this week. Last Week: 21
  21. Kansas City (2-3) – The Chiefs will stake their 2-game winning streak against the Raiders who will play without their regular QB. The Chiefs can take advantage of a “rusty” Carson Palmer. Last Week: 22
  22. Cleveland (2-3) – The Browns lost 2 straight games now and they will be facing a 2-3 Seahawks. It is a make or break game and a loss could lead to a long losing spell for the Browns. Last Week: 18
  23. Dallas (2-3) – The Cowboys lost its last 2 games to the Lions and Pats, both 5-1 teams. They will host a winless Rams team this week. If they lose this game, it will be the end of their playoff dreams.  Last Week: 17
  24. Philadelphia (2-4) – The Eagles snapped a 4-game losing streak with a tough victory against rivals Washington Redskins. They will have a bye week in Week 7. They tried to trade Ronnie Brown to the Lions but the trade was rescinded when it was discovered that Jerome Harrison has a tumor. Last Week: 26
  25. Denver (1-4) – The Broncos will feature QB Tim Tebow in their game against the winless Dolphins. It will be a Florida homecoming for Tebow. He will try to lead the Broncos in breaking its 3-game losing streak. Last Week: 25
  26. Arizona (1-4) – The Cardinals who is in the midst of a 4-game losing streak will host the formidable Steelers after a bye week. Beanie Wells will be a key player in this game. Last Week: 28
  27. Minnesota (1-5) – The Vikings failed to build a winning streak after losing to division rivals Bears 39-10 last week. They will be hosting the NFC North-leading Packers this week. Christian Ponder will have his hands full against the defending Super Bowl champs. Last Week: 24
  28.  Carolina (1-5) – The Panthers lost to the Falcons in Week 6 to extend their losing streak to 3. If Cam Newton continues to excel in the passing game, the Panthers will have a good chance against the ‘skins. Last Week: 27
  29. Jacksonville (1-5) – The Jaguars have lost for their 5th straight game after winning their home opener against the Titans. The Jags ranks well in defense  and rushing but the team has the league worst passing offense with only 137.7 yards a game. They will host the streaking Ravens this week. Last Week: 29
  30. Miami (0-5) –  The Dolphins lost their Monday Night Football game against the Jets. They will be hosting the Tebow “homecoming” this week. This is their biggest chance to get out of the winless list in the recent weeks.  Last Week: 30
  31. St. Louis (0-5) – The winless Rams will face a pressured to win Cowboys this week. The Rams has not scored more than 10 points in the last 3 games. Last Week: 31
  32.  Indianapolis (0-6) – Another week, another loss for the Colts. It’s been 6 straight losses for the Peyton-less Colts. They will face the 4-2 Saints and Drew Brees this week. They will probably get their first win in November. Last Week: 32
