Banting City, Malaysia– The battle of the undefeated teams in the 1st Southeast Asian Basketball Association (SEABA) U16 tournament for men turned into a lopsided affair as the Olsen Racela-coached Energen-Pilipinas Under-16 youth squad never gave the Indonesians a chance.
The Philippines led from start to finish after limiting the Indonesians to 3 points in the first quarter. Adven Jess Diputado led the scoring for the Philippines with 20 markers. He was supported by the Janhubert Angelo Cani and Arvin Dave Tolentino who both scored 19 points. Indonesia was lead by Ferdia Dwi Purwoko and Hans Abraham both with 9 points.
Next up for the Energen-sponsored team is Laos on Friday and Singapore on Saturday.
