UAAP 74: FEU goes 1 for 3 in Basketball title matches

All 3 FEU teams went to the finals of the basketball competitions at the 74th Season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The men’s team which were seeded No.3 feel to the top seeds Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles.

The top-ranked Baby Tamaraws in the junior ranks won Game 1 of its series against the NU Bullpups. They, however, dropped the last 2 games to finish a disappointing second place. The Bullpups beat the Baby Tams 72-63 in the clincher. NU was lead by Raphael Atangan who finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Juniors MVP Jerie Pingoy was held to 15 points.

FEU did not go empty handed as their Lady’s team spoiled the three-peat bid of the Adamson Lady Falcons by winning game 3, 68-57. Women’s MVP Raiza Palmera led the Lady Tams with 24 markers.
